LITIGATION:  We have extensive civil litigation experience in the Thai courts. Unlike some of the large international firms operating in Thailand, we are not afraid to bring a case to trial on the merits. While we recognize that many cases can be settled before trial, our meticulous preparation and approach (and thus our reputation ensures that any settlements our clients may reach are based on sound business considerations and not simply based on fear of going to trial.

INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION AND ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (ADR): Our team of arbitration and dispute resolution lawyers has the experience and full range of skills necessary to assist with the prevention, pursuit, defence and resolution of commercial conflicts. We have lawyers who have significant experience representing clients before arbitral and other tribunals throughout the world. Although our expertise ranges from drafting arbitration clauses to serving as arbitrators and mediators, our primary focus is on achieving for our clients the most satisfactory resolution of commercial conflicts in which they may be involved. Recent representative experience of one or more of our lawyers includes advising EGAT (i) in all aspects of multiple contractor disputes arising from the Lam Ta Khong Pumped Storage Project, to include developing strategy, reviewing factual backgrounds of all claims, defining legal options for claims to be pursued under Thai law, preparation of draft claims, defences, counterclaims, and the  participation in a satisfactory settlement negotiation;  and (ii) in connection with certain disputes arising from the Bhumibol Hydroelectric Project. In each case, a resolution favourable and satisfactory to the client was achieved.
